New COO takes helm at Coastal Health & Wellness - Galveston County Daily News

Ami Cotharn began her new role Tuesday as chief operating officer for Coastal Health & Wellness.

Cotharn began her career with the Galveston County Health District in 2017 as the tuberculosis program manager and two years later was promoted to Community Health Services manager. In June 2021, she was named chief nursing officer for both the health district and Coastal Health & Wellness.

Cotharn has served on the front lines of the COVID-19 response during the past two years.

"We're thrilled to have Ami as our COO at Coastal Health & Wellness," Dr. Philip Keiser, executive director of  Coastal Health & Wellness, said. "She has a true passion for the clinic and the work our team does every day. Ami is dedicated to keeping our patients and community healthy and safe."
